The Fusion of Ultimate Destiny: The Test
Chapter 1:
Tybeut let out a low growl as he led an armada of evil elves to raid the guild room. “Let us greet them with the best of our forces.” Paul said with true confidence. Chris, the nicknamed “God of pain”, roared in agreement. As he and Chris led the guild into battle, Tybeut stood his ground. Raging with flames, Chris picked up Tybeut and threw him onto the hard, rocky ground. Paul went straight for the elves, fearlessly knocking them out one by one. Emily and Adrienne double-teamed to create an even stronger force. The Adrienne-Emily pair summoned Essence Warden and Inkwell Leviathan. “Destroy them!!!” Emily said, commanding the Inkwell Leviathan to obliterate the elven army. “We have to find the source of this mess! Who is behind this?! And how did they know we’re here?!” Mark shouted over the noise as he grabbed one of the elves, choking it. “You’re right!” Paul shouted back, “There has to be a source! Tinderbox! Find the source and report back to us.” “B-b-b-b-but……what if...” “No time for buts or what ifs. You have to find the source! You are not going to die…hopefully.” Paul said with desperation, “Fine. But don’t leave without me.” Tinderbox said, “Don’t worry,” Paul said, “we won’t.” “Heheheheheheheheh!” sounded a sinister voice, “Uh…..Paul, I think we just planned that for nothing…” Tinderbox said as he backed away from where the sound was coming from. Meanwhile, Paul accidentally summoned Sharki, a dragonborn sentinel from his previous stories. “Uh oh.” Said Paul, “Back away! I’ll handle this one-on-one!” said a voice, “Sharki!?” Paul said as he recognized the voice from the stories he had written before. “Yes. I have come. Now let ME finish this thing off!” Sharki shouted as he raged into battle. Sharki summoned a starfire orb that he hurled at the thing. The purity of the orb revealed the thing’s corpse. It was a gargantuan undead beast, who seemed to reveal a slight smile as if he knew he was going to win. Paul stepped up to help. Staring in awe, the rest of the guild backed away to let Sharki and Paul handle their troubles. Sharki, though, knew he was going to win no matter what. He also had Paul on his side, who had the ability to control the undead. Paul took over the beast’s mind, who then struggled to gain control. Paul forced the beast to attack itself with his claws. Then, Tinderbox shouted, “Look! He’s committing suicide!” When he said that, it relieved the beast of its confusion. “Hey!” Paul shouted as he tried to gain control again, but was so frustrated at Tinderbox for triggering his loss of control. Sharki summoned a firestorm relic that pierced through the fiend’s flesh in one blow. “Thanks.” Paul said with slight relief. The beast, weakened from the blow, stumbled and melted into the ground below. The guild briefly cheered Paul and Sharki as they went back to the guild room. Sharki, however, vanished into a portal of light. The next day Emily woke up and decided to go meet the guild at the guild room. On her way, she sensed she was being followed, so she sprinted across the forest to the open field near the guild room. “I could use a little help here!” Emily shouted but there was no reply. The fiend showed itself by then, so Emily had to fight on her own. “Take this! I summon Fusion Elemental!” she yelled as the Fusion Elemental unsheathed its claws and slashed the demon with the power of the five shards. The power created an elemental gas that swirled around the creature and dissolved it into the ground. No trace of the demon lingered now. Emily celebrated in triumph and confidently marched into the guild room, “You won’t believe what just happened!” “What happened?” whispered Tinderbox who appeared to be very ill, “I used my Fusion Elemental to defeat one of those stalker thingies. It unsheathed its claws and used its power to create an elemental gas made of the five shards which dissolved the thing into nothingness!” Emily shouted with excitement “That’s cool, but this is a bad time, Tinderbox got tainted by the undead aura and now he’s very ill.” “So I’m sensitive to loud noises.” Tinderbox squeaked. “Oh no! The undead aura! This could be fatal!” Emily said, shocked. “Fatal?! Oh great!” Mark said, horrified. “Don’t worry!” Paul said, “I think I have a cure!” “Paul?! Where’d you come from?!” Chris exclaimed. “Just the kitchen.” Paul said calmly. “Oh.” Chris said slightly laughing at himself, “Well here it goes.” said Paul, sounding unsure of himself. “Kada Kohsei Duni Di Haoi…” Paul said in the Tarbetuan language, “Fohei Dasei…” Paul continued, “Enti Purai Kahi Shuun.” As Paul completed the spell, a mysterious ring surrounded Tinderbox that reformed his soul. “There!” Paul said grinning at his work, “He’s complete.” “Hey what’s going on?” Paul said as he walked into the main section of the guild room, “What the heck?!” Mark exclaimed, “There are TWO Pauls!!!” “What do you mean there are two Pauls? There’s only one and I’m right here!!” Paul shouted with massive confusion. “I swear! There WAS another Paul in this room a second ago,” Chris roared in confusion, “GYAHHHHH! I’m confused! I don’t like being confused!” “What’s wrong?” Adrienne said, “Quick! Someone make sure she’s the real Adrienne!!!” Mark yelled over all of the commotion. Suddenly it got silent. “I am Sipitor, the master of shapeshifting! I am the one you are looking for!!!” Said the fake Paul who changed into a beastly centaur. “Wait! What did you do to Tinderbox?!” Emily exclaimed, “Why should I tell you?! You’ll find out soon enough!” Sipitor shouted. “Look! What the heck?! Tinderbox is floating while he is in deep sleep!” Mark screamed, confused. “He must be dreaming he’s Homsar.” Emily joked, “Either that or he has Homsaritis,” “What’s Homsaritis?!” Chris wailed, “AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAah! No one said there would be any time to pipe the payer! I guess there is no sparking plot for my automobile. I still have to shake a tower! AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAah! It looks like this is going to be my favorite!” Tinderbox(?) wailed as he woke up. “Looks like we have some work to do.” Adrienne sighed, “Let me fight this shapeshifter for harassing a member of our guild! Take this! I summon……..Wait look!” Paul said as everybody’s eyes shifted to the Homsaritis-infected Tinderbox who emitted a strange source of light which blinded everyone for a split-second. As the light faded, Homsar appeared. “That was random.” Emily said, “That’s what Homsar is, randomness!” Mark said. At that point Homsar was talking about stuff like portable highways and flying Tarzans getting attacked by railroads. “AaAaAaAah! It looks like this is going to be my favorite” Homsar said, “Disabling doormats with tyrant ants” “He’s saying that I should summon tyrant ants while he disables Sipitor! I summon a tyranny of giant fire ants!” Paul said the fire ants attacked and Homsar started talking about random stuff to confuse Sipitor. “AaAaAaAaAaAaAah!” Homsar wailed, “Igniting a heap of drooling dolls!” “He’s telling me to lure him into a fire, but how?!” “Shining things evade extinguishing.” Homsar said. “Does anyone have something shiny?! Quick, hurry!” Paul pleaded. “I have a pocket mirror!” Emily said holding it out. Paul grabbed it and revealed it to Sipitor who was on the ground panting and spitting out fire ants that were crawling into his mouth. He immediately got up and went towards the fire. He didn’t see the fire, tripped over Mark’s backpack and fell into the grasp of the flames. “Hey! My backpack! It’s burning!” “Marshtomp! I choose you!” Emily said as she threw her poke-ball. Everybody stared at her. What?! You didn’t know I was a certified pokemon trainer?! Marshtomp! Water pulse!” She shouted as she stared passionately at the fire. The attack extinguished Mark’s backpack. She then returned Marshtomp to her pokeball. “What the heck?! This is stranger than Homsar appearing out of nowhere! Where is Homsar anyway?!” “Ummm…I don’t know where Homsar is, but I have a feeling that the Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and my story’s worlds are fusing together into one multiverse!” said Paul. “Where does Yu-Gi-Oh come into play?!” said Chris “I think Chuck Norris banned it.” said Emily, “He doesn’t like Yu-Gi-Oh, remember?!” “That explains everything.” Chris muttered with a sigh of relief. “I also think Homsar and Chuck Norris are controlling the multiverse’s fusion.” Emily said as she glanced at Paul. “Wait!” Paul said, “How do we get Tinderbox back to the way he is supposed to be?” “I dunno. I guess I could get some herbs from Homsar.” Emily suggested. “We have to find Homsar first.” Mark said with a doubtful expression. “No. He’s right there.” Emily said, pointing at the door, “Homsar, we need some herbs to cure Tinderbox’s Homsaritis.” “Coming right up!” said Homsar as he vanished and a pile of herbs appeared in his place. “Whoa!” said Andrew, amazed. “Here, I’ll rub it on Tinderbox.” Paul said as he picked up some of the herbs and rubbed. “Hey! What just happened?” Tinderbox said as he turned into himself again. “It’s a long story,” Emily said, “basically the worlds of Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and Paul’s stories are fusing together into one multiverse. Homsar and Chuck Norris are controlling the fusion and random things have been happening.” “But why to us?!” wondered Paul. “I dunno,” Emily replied, “but sometimes I wonder if Homsar and Chuck Norris are doing this to test our true strength.” “Maybe he wants us to put the world back to the way it is supposed to be,” Andrew sighed, “But it’ll take a lot of work.” “Maybe…we’ll have to wait and see.” Emily replied. Meanwhile, Andrew wandered over to the corner of the room and bumped into the wall. A shiny wand-like artifact appeared in his hand. “What’s this?” Andrew wondered, “Wait a minute, could this be the one and only Legendary Wand of Time?! And look! There’s a book here too, called Mage of Wonders Volume I, The Guide to Portal Opening……..Paul! This isn’t meant to be! I think we’ve discovered something…. something that will help us… somehow,” Andrew said as he picked up a note that fell out of the book, “Look it’s a letter from Chuck Norris! I’ll read it.” Here’s something that will be useful to you in the mission I’ve placed ahead of you. All of the Mage of Wonder documents are placed throughout your journey. They will tell you everything you need to know. I have entrusted you with my Legendary Wand of Time. Take care of it. Oh I almost forgot, you probably have figured this out, but you are to separate the worlds. We did this on purpose to test your strength and to see if you are all worthy of becoming among my elite followers. If you all pass, I will give you new names and you will have the honor to lead my army of Progenitus’. Put this message outside. Thanks to Homsar, it will immediately self-destruct if exposed to the outside when not in your hand. Please, do be careful and use your gifts well. So be it, Chuck Norris After he finished reading aloud, he stepped outside and let it go. It immediately exploded. “Apparently we have to read The Guide to Portal Opening before starting our quest.” Andrew said sleepily “Ugh I hate reading.” Emily said, disgusted. “It’s been a long day. Let’s start reading it tomorrow.” Paul said as everyone wandered back home. Andrew woke up. He picked up the book and the Wand of Time and put them into a bag of other things. He finally arrived at the guild room where the rest of the guild was waiting for him. “Where were you?” Adrienne said as she went out to greet him. “Sorry. I slept a little late.” Andrew said. “C’mon! We have to start reading!” Mark said enthusiastically as if he couldn’t bear another moment without the knowledge that was kept inside the book. “Okay, here’s the book.” Andrew said as he handed it over to Mark. Mark opened the clasp and started reading, Intro: Thou shall not read this book in vain, but find it very helpful indeed… After Mark finished reading, he put the book down gently and closed the clasp. “My soul has been enlightened by the very words of that book.” Mark commented, astonished. “Yes. This book is sacred.” Paul said calmly. “It said for us to test our skills first by going to a nearby city. I’m assuming we should go to Atuul. After all, it is the closest.” Chris suggested. “Yes let’s try it. I’ll make the portal first.” Paul said. Before anyone could object, Paul raised his right arm and made his left hand into a fist. He slowly raised his left arm and locked his right hand with his left, “Atuul.” He said. A portal opened. “Let’s proceed.” He said. One by one, the members of the guild stepped into the portal. They landed in Atuul. “Success,” Paul said monotonously, “You try.” As soon as everyone tried, Adrienne had a vision. She saw the guild going to Belsan and proceeding on their journey from there. After her vision, a map appeared in her hand. “Here. I found a map,” She said to Paul, “I had a vision where we were going to Belsan.” “Good. Now we know where we are going. This map indicates we are to go to Caleron next. It also says alphabet on the side. What could that mean?” Paul said. “Well we could be going to the cities listed on the map in alphabetical order.” Chris said. “True, we found A, B, and C so far…” Paul said as he went deep into thought. Suddenly, Paul began transforming into a taller and much more consummate being: an incubus. He wore a purple mask and cloak with a katana that beamed with radiant energy. As Adrienne stared at him, perplexed, he chuckled and said, “Do not worry, I am Maekir Vilemist: The being that has been sleeping inside of Paul’s subconscious ever since he was born. I will help you on your quest to return the mulitverse to its previous state. Mark then panicked and screamed, “AAAAAH! Paul has an incubus invading his body like a parasite! RUUUUNNNN!!!!” The sighing incubus facepalmed and noted, “I did say not to worry, did I not? Now, if you would kindly remember…” Maekir then took his purple glove off and put his hand on Mark’s forehead, performing a ritual that ceased any worries from entering his mind. After that was solved, he returned his glove to his hand and said, “Let’s hurry. I doubt we have much time. I believe the next city is Dekrid, correct?” Andrew jerked his head up from the map and looked at Maekir in complete surprise as he exclaimed, “Whoa! How did you know??” A smile crept onto Maekir’s face as he said softly, “Trust me…I know many things…”
